V50 Drive 2010 tire pressure
Tire Pressure
I recently bought a 10 year old V50 drive Volvo. I havn't owned a car for a while and its new for me to look after one. When I bought the car, the rh front tire was very flat, not fully flat but half way there, and I pointed it out to the salesman. I bought the car anyway (it came with a new promised mot and service). When I picked the car up, I asked if he had fixed the tire and he said it hadn't been a problem since. After a couple of weeks I noticed the left hand front tire was looking flatter and sure enough I had to put quite a bit of air in it. I suspect he rotated the wheels in the service. Anything I should say about this or just suck it up? I looked through the manual and it says for optimal mpg the tire pressure should be at 250kpa/36psi, im a bit scared, I don't know why, should I be, to pump that much air in when its only me driving it. Does anyone else use the optimal mpg air pressure in their tires? x Cath IMG_0552.jpg |

You can prove the resistance to rolling , get the car on a very smooth flat surface try and push it yourself … 28 psi you can hardly move it , 38 psi you can push it with one hand ...

just curious but did you buy your one from the Waverly find my car dealership? Its just round the corner from me and they had one for sale a month or so ago. if you did, you bought it from under my nose haha , they put it on gumtree? on the Sunday afternoon and by the time I cycled by on Monday it had a sold sticker, so these drive models shift easily if looked after and priced ok. nice to have 0 road tax and I am still working out the electronics to see if the car will tell me how many mpg I am getting. thanks and happy driving with your car. |
