Default After transmission change

Hello guys,
We've recently changed an auto gearbox with solenoid problemsfor a known working 2nd hand unit.
Post installatoin there are no faults on VIDA on TCM.
The problem we are having may be related to the gearbox but may also have other causes and we were hoping for some help.

Some of the symptoms:
When setting off from a roundabout for example in Auto, the revs seem to function normally but the car moves forward slowly and then within a couple of seconds we seem to get full power and shoot off like a rocket.

When in Auto, the transmission position indicator shows two lines, however in Manual and stationary, it will only show 3 gears. If you shift up 4 times, it remains as 3.
Is this a mode or a fault?

When the car is in motion and you kick down, the car seems to be responding perfectly.

A further problem (possibly unrelated), is severe vibration in the cabin when on the brake in reverse, this may be a mount, but don't know which one. Same applies when in any gear in manual mode.

So far I have used VIDA to regen on Auto transmission fluid change.

Assistance will be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you very much in anticipation.

Default The car

Hello, thanks for the feedback.

The car:
V70 D5 185 on 56 Plate.

The gearbox is like for like identical.

The transmission fluid was supplied as specified by VIDA

We have, as mentioned done the 2 tasks available on VIAD re Renewing Transmission Oil Regen and the second one for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called but it apparently tells the software that changes have been made.

Did you fit your original Transmission Control unit to the "new " gearbox ? It won't work properly with the one that came with it on your car .

Hi Clan.
The transmission control unit is the original to my car. It was not changed with installation of the new gearbox.
I was advised by a Volvo dismantler to leave both original TCM and torque converter in the car.
