Default Fitting Bi-Xenon headlights to 2007 S60

Hi all,

I have a 2007 S60 with standard reflector halogen headlights. But I love the "instant-flash" and cold white of bi-xenon headlights. Would it work if I was to buy a set of the bi-xenon headlights and fit them?

Probably not.
There's levelling sensors on the rear axle that control the headlights and when you go to full beam the headlight swivels upwards as well as secondary lights coming on. You may be lucky and the wiring loom might be there to plug them into but the sensors, brackets, relays etc is going to come in at a significant price.
You may be able to rob the entire setup off a scrapper but they are going to charge you an arm and leg because they know how much these bits are from the stealers

There's also implications with fitting Bi Xenons (HIDs) for the new MOT test, from May 18- self levelling sensor and wash wipe etc, have to work

Jude-- factory fitted BI Xenons

not strictly true :

"Where a manual headlamp levelling device (driver control) is fitted it must work. Before operating the control, check the setting it is on and return it to the same place.
Vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) or LED dipped beam headlamps may be fitted with a suspension or headlamp self-levelling system. Where such systems are fitted, they must work; however, it is accepted that it may not be possible to readily determine the functioning of self-levelling systems. In such cases, the benefit of the doubt must be given."

Headlamp wash systems are only checked after sept 2009 models if fitted ...they must work ...
