Parrot hands free lead
Hi all,
just bought a 2008 xc70 d5 and am looking for some info on which parrot lead i need. When I turn on the stereo it says volvo high perfomance sound and if i remember rightly in vida it said it was 8x40watt. Can anyone help with the lead? and also does anyone know where the connectors for it go? are they behind the dash? tia, ste |

I've got a V70 and fitted a parrot kit when I bought the car. I used a CT10VL08 attachment that will be compatible with your car too. You plug this between the parrot box and your amp that is under the drivers seat. Only wires I've got running out is for the screen and mic. Everything else I cable tied and hid under the drivers seat.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, i've looked under my drivers seat and have 3 connectors to the amp, 1 looks to be power, one looks to be speakers and other looks to be fibre network.
Any chance of a closeup pic of your install and back of amp? I'm just a bit confused that the lead suggested seems to have a lot more wires in the one for the amp. |

You don't actually need the lead - a decent electrician (auto or otherwise) would be able to connect it in directly. The advantage of this is you can be selective as to which speakers to use. I wired mine to the drivers door speaker only, this meant that you have to turn the radio/CD player down when taking/making a call BUT you still got the SatNav commentary and reverse parking beeps.
On my XC90 I bought the proper loom but bashed it twice until I realised it mutes the parking sensors... FYI if you havent already bought a kit, the Bury CC9068 is much better than any of the parrots and fits nicely on the centre console next to the CD slot.
