Default D4192T cylinder head torque settings

hi , i wondered if anyone can help i own a 1999 v40 diesel which im replacing the head one due to the original being cracked .
my problem is what are the correct torque figures for the head bolts ? my autodata disc is giving me 1 set of figures and the instructions with the head bolts are different .
both say basically 220 degree`s for the final stage but then autodata says wait then for 2 and a half hours then a final 120 degree`s
i would be grateful in anyone could confirm which is correct
im fitting a composite head gasket btw not a mls one cheers.

Hi there...

I have the details and if you look on the forum - about three weeks or so ago, somebody kindly sent the details but it involves torquing to a specified amount then turning a specific number of degrees, etc.

I will be doing the job tomorrow so hopefully we will both have some success.

Thanks

the confusion lay with whether or not the head needed retorqueing after it had been run up to temperature and according to the renault official renault manual for the f8qt engine it does so thats good enough for me .
my engine is the early version and from what ive read the later engines dont require the final re-torque .

Have a look in the above post.

If you have the multi-layered steel gasket (MLS) you will not need the third stage tightening. If you have the fibre gasket then you will need the third stage.
