Mine left the factory with amber, previous owner changed them to clear which looked good against the silver paintwork but I changed them back to amber as I want the car as it would have been when new

Just found this thread

When I had my pure silver V40 d sport 2004 it had clear side markers Which looked great against their grey bump strip better than the amber ones
Smoked would have looked good

Being the local dealers demo car it came with all the extras;-
Arcadias, full leather, piano black trim, smoked head lights, roof rails etc

Turned a few heads back then, wish I’d kept it

Now got a v40 T2 R just as much fun

Similarly just found this resurrected thread.

FWIW I replace amber bulbs behind clear lenses with chrome bulbs which shine amber when lit. This gets rid of the ‘fried egg’ look.

Well I've put blue bulbs in, matches the colour scheme.

This is exactly what I did, I deliberately got ones that are known for not being very bright like these from eBay as the standard ones are only 3w capless, that way they're not overpowering.
