Default Headlight levelling

Hello,

I'm having some headlight troubles and wondering if anyone can give me some guidance. My drivers headlight dipped beam continuously drops down to where it shines as low as it can.
So far I've changed all bulbs and bought new head units but the problem still persists. It can be adjusted manually but this only lasts a few engine starts before I have to get the tools out again.

Also compared to the passenger side (which is perfect) the connector is really stiff to unplug and I have to use a pair of pliers to remove. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Is something causing the levelling motor to run to its lowest setting continuously?

I had a faulty motor on my V70, it dropped to the lowest position so I'd say it's some kind of fail-safe in the event of a fault.

That's what I am thinking. Something before the headlight is telling it to lower as it has the same problem on my old and new headlight unit. My d900 scanner doesn't work with this car so I'm waiting on my CReader Vi to arrive. Maybe that will shine a light onto the problem.
