Lambda Light (CEL)
Hi guys,
Having some trouble with the lambda (CEL) on my 850 T5. A short while ago I the lamda light came on for the first time, with the error code DTC232 - missing or faulty signal from the coolant temp sensor. I replaced the sensor (genuine part), and there was no damage or corrosion on the loom side. I reset the code and the lambda light went out. Approx 160miles later it came back on, same error code. I reset it again and it came back on again within 160miles. Since then, with each reset it has been coming back on at sooner and sooner intervals. The last time I reset it it reappeared after just 12 miles. Is it possible I have a duff sensor from Volvo, or is there anything else I can check? DTC232 is still the only code that comes up - across all the ECUs/CMs. Got an MOT coming up in a few weeks so really need to get it sorted!
