Default reverse blowing fuse 27

hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the following problems that have started to occur to my 99 s70 t5 auto. The first problem is since the recent cold spell i can put the car in reverse and all is well but when i then go from reverse to neutral it blows fuse 27(indicators and reversing lights), the problem does not occur when i go from drive to neutral.
The second probem is a clanking sound (technical term)from the left front wheelwhen going over any form of bump or rough surface which increases when on full lock. Any help would be gratefully accepted.:o

It sounds like either the reversing light switch could be faulty or the wiring is shorting to earth somewhere, its odd that it only occurs when shifting back to neutral rather than going into reverse.
Is the clanking noise like a sheet metal sound, if so it could be the dust shield touching the disc hub, my V70 had this problem when steering left, it sounded like I was dragging a load of tin cans around! It turned out to be the right hand dust shield just catching the disc hub, a bit of "persuading " with a big screwdriver soon solved the problem.

Fuse:

Try removing the reverse light bulbs, see if it makes any difference.

Clanking noise:

Check the link rod from the damper to anti roll bar.
