  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Funny you say that. Ive taken off the rear bumper myself to fit my towbar. I did notice one of the brackets on the bumper have snapped off. I didn't think it was important...??

If you mean the 2 tabs that are bolted on the underside, they aren't terribly important. Mine aren't connected as the towbar ever so slightly pushes the bumper forwards.

I think V70stu is talking about the clips along the top of the bumper not being in correctly.

Not the tabs underneath, no. Difficult to describe but the bumper cover - the actual outer part that forms the bumper - fits against a plastic support behind the bumper. Mine wasn't clipped in properly along the upper edge of that support. The bumper cover had missed the clips and gone above them, pushing the bumper upwards into the tailgate.

Scroll down this thread till you see the rear bumper off. The cover should clip into the black plastic section still attached to the car in the photo. I'm sure that was the issue on mine.
