Default Dodgy clock

Just noticed over the last few weeks the clock in my C70 has started to return to 0:00 every time I start the car. Have tried the usuals, loose battery connections etc but nothing doing. It's a pretty minor problem but annoying not knowing what is causing it.

Does anyone have any ideas.

That happened to my V70 T5 and the answer came a few weeks later when the battery died.

My problem happened around Easter (a couple of years ago) but your battery will probably give up on the next frosty morning. I am surprised that you have not also seen other warning lights displayed because a lot of polling of sensors goes on during the starting crank and that is when the voltage is going down to low levels that lose clock synch.

It does sound like a dodgy battery, get a discharge test done on it by your local garage, that`ll tell if its keeping charge when under load.
