My Volvo 740 Turbo
As you all know over the past months I've been looking for a 740 Turbo. I used to have one from 1997 to 2008. The car was the best car I've ever had and I reluctantly 'had to scrap it'. However, I've recently completed a check on the car (F234 HWE) and it says it still exists. I don't know if it does and it would be interesting to see if it does. I'll post some photos on this thread. If anyone has this car parked up somewhere or if you know about this car I.e know someone who may have it I can't tell you how it would feel.
Thanks, and if you know anything just reply of PM me |

The tax ran out on that in November 2010. If it was lying up somewhere it would likely be on a SORN (which unfortunately it isn't).
I wouldn't hold my breath on it still being around to be honest. |

Well the reason why I asked was because I SORNED my other project and it made me wonder. I checked it and I supposedly scrapped it in 2008 but strange it was last taxed in 2010. Honestly, I wish I kept the car as it was my dads last car before he died. Let's hope someone knows where it is. Do you know how I might be able to track it down.
Thanks |

Under DPA DVLA couldn't supply the details but it might just be possible if you find someone with enough wit that works in there you could ask them to pass your details to the last known keeper.

I believe the scrap yard went out of business but I know some people who knew the owner.
Thanks |

Might be wrong but I believe once a car is scrapped and removed from DVLA records it will show the "no records" or whatever it say's for your vehicle. A scrapped vehicle can't ever be un-scrapped, I checked if a corsa I scrapped for tax and it say's no details where as your 740 show's up which is odd. The DVLA don't seem the best at keeping details accurate though so anyone's guess as to whether it was never actually scrapped but I expect if it was sitting it probably isn't in great condition. I swear I heard of someone asking the DVLA to forward on a previous owners details to a current keeper of a car they wished to get back, not sure whether they will or not though, good luck.
