Default New door switch v70

I have received a new door switch and will be fitting it Monday. Has anyone actually relocated the pins in the terminal block rather than cutting and resoldered them?
Regards Dan.

Put in a new door switch today. It works but the switch for the drivers side is on the left. Is this a small sacrifice to pay for a cheaper left hand switch? Also the pack itself didn't fit so good so it had to be manipulated in as it seemed a few mm too big.

Default Door Switch Fit

Interesting that the door switch did not just slot in.

I fitted a genuine VOLVO RHD switch and found that also needed a bit of work to get it to fit properly. Used a very sharp knife to ease the plastic in the recess in the door card to remove a small amount of plastic so that the switch assembly could be fitted and also removed at a later date if needed.

I've got two V70's and fitted new switches to both. After a few days your mind gets used to it, you self consciously think the nearest switch is the nearest window.

Hi Daniel
Just to confirm the left hand drive switch works ok in right hand drive car, been looking at connections on both and appear the same, as you say drivers window switch wrong but I can live with that

Cheers
