Default V90 rear spring and shocks

My 1997 V90 had new shocks last year but standard Boge/Sachs not nivomats. Did I see on here someone does a gas/adjustable shock for these cars by Monroe? My car never had nivomats as not all V90's had them. I was thinking of fitting some as I think the fiberglass spring used in the rear suspension is now worn but unavailable now. I though the shocks could take some of the load off the spring. Nivomats at 800 plus quid are not an option. V90 beats the 960/940/V70's I have owned. Only thing not working has been the sunroof sliding back, tilts up but I think plastic broke off the rails to let it slide back.

Default New fiberglass spring

There are serious plans to reproduce the fiberglass springs in small quantities in the Netherlands. The first prototypes were recently shown on a local Volvo meeting:

Production will start as soon as sufficient buyers have subsribed. I understood they will cost around 400 Euro excl. VAT.

Thats the non nivo version. Nice they are being made and the price is not bad for a small run.

Do you know if they will be making the rubber mounting pads as they are a bigger problem than the springs

9140471 is the non nivo version
