Question New V60 headlights

Hello

Just a couple of weeks ago, we bought our new V60 Inscription D4. It is a great car but we seem to have a problem with the dipped beam; it illuminates only a short distance in front of the car. When you compare it with LED lights of other car makes it is rather weak.

I went through the manual of the car and I could not find any option to regulate the height or strength of the beam.

Did I miss something?

Thanks

Krzys

Is this a model with self-levelling headlights? You can see these rise when switched on.

I have to say that my self-levelling ones are excellent.

Try the other forum. I believe the headlights can be adjusted by the dealer.

When the adaptive shadow is turned on I find that the dipped beam area is often shadowed out a little too much for my liking, but normal dipped beam is fine.

If you are referring to the New V60 (2019 model) then I think there are manual adjusters in the headlamp clusters, I can see a couple of hex head screws in each cluster that look like adjusters. Haven't tried myself though.

As it is an "Inscription" am assuming it's the new model V60..... anyhow for some reasons new Volvo's consistently leave the dealership with the headlights set very low. You should take it back - explain it is unsatisfactory and ask them to set the beam as high as is allowed under the MOT regs.

You may be able to adjust it but it really should be done with the proper equipment.

Hello

Thanks for all the comments. I will go to the dealer and ask them to adjust.

Cheers
