Was it the genuine OEM socket? If so, how much?

Regarding fitting, did you just pick a spot or was it outlined where to cut? Also, is it a circular hole or profiled?

Well that depends which side of the fence your on, nice little earner for the dealers at £100 a pop. Actually that little socket swung the deal when I ordered my X60, I knew the wiring was already there and it was just a question of using a hole saw. Told them I would expect a 12v socket when I picked the car up, and there was.

I said that about the Polestar upgrade when I purchased the V60. Alas, it wasn't done

Yes a genuine socket and I paid £15 for a V70 one off ebay.

There is a mark on the inside of the boot liner which needed a hole cutting out then a notch at the top to stop it rotating
