Default V60 cargo nets + spacesaver spare?

Having just picked up a new (to me!) V60, I’d quite like to round out the boot with a spacesaver & replace the missing cargo nets.

If anyone has these up for grabs, let me know.

Can't help you as such but I note your reference to "missing" cargo nets. AFAIK these have never been standard fit, so if you have holes either side someone fitted them and took them away again.

They are very useful and only cost about £35 or so from Volvo new - that is for a set of three, one each side in the boot and one for the side of the centre console that you can't use in a RHD car...I am still wondering where else I can use that one!

Hi dcw, found someone flogging the cargo nets from their V60 on eBay, so problem sorted there.

Which turned out to be quite entertaining: on arrival it turned out that the return spring on the larger of the two guards was completely inoperative. Was quite annoyed about this, but decided to take it apart and see if anything could be done. Discovered that the bit of plastic that held the spring in place as the rod turned had snapped off the end piece & at the other end a little spring had become dislodged from it’s rightful place & so that device (which I think is meant to count revolutions and stop you pulling the net out too far) wasn’t working either.

A little work with superglue, a drill and some reinforcing screws later, I reassembled the mechanism & it worked! Quite pleased with myself.

On conversion with the eBay vendor, it turned out that some scrotes had written off his V60 whilst extracting his bicycle out of the boot (with a crowbar probably), so entirely possible it was broken during that process & he’d been unaware that the mechanism was broken as he’d only tested the smaller of the two. Came to a decent agreement on a discount & everyone happy.
