Smile XC60 headlight swap halogen to xenons

Using VIDA to program new parts in and add software. This is regarding wanting to remove the the halogens and fit xenons to my XC60. If there is anyone out there who is a wiz on VIDA please let me know if you think this would be possible.

Thanks Andy

It can't be done - the headlamp type is programmed in to the CEM at manufacture and cannot be changed, even by the dealer.

So if you want to use Xenon's instead of Halogens - even Volvo original units - you will need to do some clever wiring so that the electrical load characteristics mimic that of a halogen lamp (55w resistive load). If you don't - at best you will be plagued by dashboard warnings, at worst they just wont work.

The lights would also be self levelling, no need for the adjuster wheel in the car.

Would it be easier to fit an after market kit?
