Default Auto box rattle when engaging drive.

I have a 2004 series 1 C70 auto convertible. Just today noticed a rattle from the engine bay when putting the car in Drive. No noise in park, neutral or reverse, just forward gears and the noise is more noticable inside the car than outside. Car drives fine with no gearchange issues and the noise quietens while driving then comes back as I slow down to stop.

At standstill with D engaged the noise goes away if the wheels are put on full left lock and comes back when they're turned to the right. Because of this I'm less inclined to think it's a problem with the gearbox and more likely a worn bush/engine mount or CV joint.

Any ideas guys/gals?

Turns out it was knackered engine mounts!

Also, turns out that finding the correct mount is a job in itself. Trying to get the lower right engine pad that fits under the flywheel and, although there are quite a few mounts that look the same there are a couple of different part numbers with a big difference in price.

I've seen parts with the numbers 8631703 and 8631698 that look identical but I'm getting conflicting info on whether they fit my car.

Anyone out there had the same issue with replacing this part? I don't want to spend £100+ if I can get the same thing for £30!
