Are the visors black or dark grey? -- I'm really after a passenger side pale grey but it occurs to me 2 x black or dark grey would actually look quite good as well as reducing the glare a little?

They are what Volvo call "dark grey" but are probably best described as charcoal, code 1970. I assume yours is "graphite" code 1944

Also, the price should read as £15 each plus post but post for two will only be £3

Mine are pale grey almost white, paint colour code is 461 (paint colour = sky blue) - the upholstery code is 26 but a pair of charcoal probably might look OK - NB is your C70 a soft top cabriolet - the reason I ask is that apparently the coupe/hard top ones don't fit.
Cheers
Alan

Your interior upholstery code is the 4 digit code above the paint code on your vin tag, the '26' in your paint code 461-26 is to do with the paint (whether solvent or not and if there are other qualities).

Thanks AcidicDavey - it would seem the interior code is 1944, which is apparently called "granite"..........it has got to be the palest granite I've ever seen!!!

Volvo interior code shows this in brochure
[IMG][/IMG]

but ALL of the interior colour is much paler and actually looks more like this

Given all the leather seats, seat backs, headrests as well as the plastic fittings and the carpets are almost identical in colour. The carpet colour is the same even under the mats!

So either it came out a lot more pale than in the brochure or this one has sat in 360˚ sunlight that even reached up under the dash!

Late model convertibles only came in 3 interior colours :-
Light Biege 1966
Granite 1944 (light grey)
Dark Grey 1970 (Very dark almost black)
Plus the Collection edition which as far as I am aware, used 1970 as a base colour with options on the seat colours.

Every Granite interior I have seen is the same light grey colour, the colour chip in the brochures looks more like the dark beige that you see on the seat fronts of earlier light beige interiors. Interestingly, I ordered a smple of Granite 1944 leather paint and what I received was a colour close to the brochure chip. I would suspect that Volvo may have had more than one interior colour with the name "Graphite" and the C70 brochure chip is an error.

You could also specify soft leather upholstery that came in lighter shades to the rest of the interior.

The sun visors came from my 2005 T5 convertible

What you've written throws some light on what is going on with the interior - maybe I've got the "soft seat" version then? Thanks tony - pm'd you.

If you have soft leather from factory, your 4 digit interior code would start with 17 in place of 19.

Default Pictures of the visors

No marks or splits, working springs and vanity lights switches. Passenger side has snipped wires joined with a choc block but could do with soldering
