Your car should run on v-power without problems. There may be a problem with your car such as bad ignition timing. Otherwise, that is weird.

Its very weird, maybe i'm just looking into things too hard, but i can definatley tell it runs a whole lot better with leaded...

Hi,

Timing for leaded and unleaded was slightly different when I looked into the issue. That with a V reg 240...

Lead was there for lubrication and anti pinking (if I remember) so a reduced lead mix (adding the super 98) would reduce lead, not eliminate it.

It might be an issue that is there, but which shows less or not at all while using leaded fuel... Odd though...

I popped up to the fuel station and got £50's worth...in four 1 gallon cans and the rest in my tank...then continued to spend the day with my other half in tatton park, what great weather it was for a bank holiday monday! The cars back to purring again!

I have found to my surprise that i'm getting much better fuel mileage on this 4 star than on other fuels, so i'm going to be sticking to this stuff until it finally becomes unavailable!
