Seriously thinking about switching to Blond/Charcoal - I have blond in my V50, and it shows it's age, but it's 7 years old - The lease for this is only 4 years - so I now have to convince my wife...

Why did Volvo take the decision to put black with the blond?

If you look at photos of the earlier XC90 Mk2s with blond interiors, the boot looks much bigger and brighter with blond carpet - as does the driver and passenger compartments because it is all blond.

I know the black won't show the dirty marks (the dirt is still there, just that now you can't see it ) but I wonder if Volvo will claim that customers had complained en-masse to Volvo which instigated the inclusion of black carpetting with the blond.

My first test drive was in a car that was only a few months old with 4k miles on the clock and the all-blond carpets looked scruffy and worn even after that short time.

I don't think any amount of cleaning would've got them looking good again.

I went for blonde and so glad I did. So much classier and makes the cockpit feel much bigger and airier.

Great contrast with Denim and Blonde. Mine will be white and blonde which might be a bit Ott. Wish I'd gone for Red/blonde - but what the hell.
