2 new Pirelli scorp' AS's going on the rear of the xc60 after 3 years and 45k miles of the previous. Down to approx 2mm

Pretty happy with wear from these got approx 30k miles out of the fronts

£108 per corner, LR spec, through tyreshopper fitted @ National tyres

I fitted Nokian Weatherproof all season in October 2015 at 11,000 miles soon after I bought the car and the fronts are now down to 2.5mm, rears 6mm after 53,000 miles. 42,000 miles is the best wear I've had from any tyre. Highly recommended. I think I paid around £107 (fitted) per tyre through MyTyres.

Currently have Nokian Weatherproofs on all round.

However, are the Goodyears any good? (gen 2)

I ask because Costco are doing a blinding deal on them, just over 107 quid a corner fitted.
Deal runs out on June 9th.
I was going to get the Michelins this time round but this seems like a great deal......

Thoughts welcome.

Tia

The Vector Gen 2 are very good indeed, but are essentially a winter tyre thus have much longer dry braking distances and less handling/directional stability.

Costco do great deals and they have supplied me for years. I currently have Goodyear Wranglers which have great grip and longevity but they do drone on smooth surfaces due to the nature of the tread. I am going to try the Michelins next time to see if they are quieter.

Yep, the timing was wrong when they last did the Michelins on offer.

I might wait, cos they’ll do them again soon probably.

Well, I've just ordered 4 Cross-Climates from Black Circles, get delivered to and fitted at my usual tyre garage next Monday.

10% off at the moment with the code FLASH10, so all in cost me £510, which is great for the Michelins IMO.

Very pleased with mine so far. Only done about 2k, but they are very quiet compared to the Wranglers I had last time. Just await more mileage to see if they start blocking like the Wranglers and to see if they live up to their all weather winter performance.

BF Goodrich G Grip All Season 2 are also good. Quite similar to Cross Climates.

They have the 3 mountain peak stamp so are rated for more 'difficult' conditions.

Now 4k on Michelin Cross Climates and still very impressed. Now we have had some wet weather the grip has been faultless and still so much quieter than my previous Goodyear Wranglers which performed very well but were just too noisy; droning like a failing wheel bearing as the tread blocked.
