What I did was to tidy up the existing wires to the fuse board, find a route for some new wires to reach a clear space and get on with the job. Trying not to be anything but good and tidy in the wiring. My inline fuse holders are behind the foot well lining, down below the "glove box", higher than the carpet. So safely out of kick damage range but easily accessible if needed. Do bear in mind that the blades of blade fuses, and of plug in mcb, can corrode. So protect the blades. Dielectric grease would be the best option. . |

I had the same fault - fuse no. 6 burned out every 20 miles or so. I replaced the in-tank fuel pump and the fuel pump relay and no fuses have burned out since.
