Default Handbrake adjuster 2004

Hello
I have a Volvo V70 2004 model. It recently had new handbrake shoes fited; I heard about possible problems in this area. The handbrake is now almost ineffective; before it was good. Should the shoes have adjusters and if so should they be at the leading end?
If you prefer to phone my numbers are 01756 752848 and 07502028217.
Thank you
Stephen

You may not want to put your phone numbers on a public forum like this, you can edit your post (both threads) to remove them. Ask people to send you a personal message (PM). You can get PM restrictions removed easily on the forum.

There is an adjuster that fits the P2 cars although they don't have them as standard and, in theory, don't need them. Has your cable been adjusted at the lever end?

Edit: this is the thread to ask admin to remove restrictions to enable PM usage if you haven't already got full access:
