Booked Autoglass to come sort out the nasty looking chip in the windscreen.
Been there since we bought it a couple of days ago and the insurance papers finally came through (wanted to have the papers on hand to show the guy who turned up). Should be all sorted tomorrow afternoon. Hoping to get some pics up soon and soak in the wealth of advice on offer. Recently come from the Astra Owners Network following a very 'unexpected' car change :P Suffice to say, there's 1 less Astra on the road. |

Got a new tyre fitted this morning (Yokohama C-Drive 205/50/R16)
Even though it was only one tyre, already feel a difference at the front of the car. Once fitted got out the pressure washer and gave the car a good going over and that's it for today.

Washed it and cleaned the inside of sand(don't ask) and put some fancy rain repellent on the windscreen.

I painted the area of the garage floor which is below the front section of the car light grey. It was a mess of oil stains from the previous owner and I like to be able to see an oil or fluid leak asap and now that should be easy.

Found out AutoGlass can't fix it because it's a "double-chip" so calling garage tomorrow as it's under warranty and the chips would fail an MOT. Only asking the £60 excess for a new screen.

Tried to figure out why I get a strange suction noise from my T4 under boost. After seeing there were no leaks in any of the hoses I took the inlet pipe from turbo off and stuck my fingers into the turbo to check for shaft play. All perfectly fine and solid so that rules that one out (luckily). Turns out my re-circ valve to recirculating too much - Ho hum!
