Try taking the pcb off the stalk, cleaning the copper tracks with a pencil eraser and giving everything a good spray with contact cleaner.

Mine failed intermittently, I cleaned the pcb and it was fine for a couple of years, started again last month and when I stripped it down it looked like some kind of grease had worked its way out and onto the contacts.

Well the abs fault codes are worrying me so i'm going to book it in at a local garage to get the abs sorted and a pre m.o.t. The codes are BCM0042 BCM0043 BCM0109 plus some parking sensor codes REM4F42 REM4F43 REM4F45.
