Default VoC stuck in standby mode since service

Since I had my car serviced, (2017 XC90), the VoC app just says the car is in standby mode, even though I’ve been driving it every day and tried VoC within minutes of stopping the car.

Is there any other way of getting it out of standby mode, or do I need to re-visit the dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe worthwhile deleting the App and then re-installing etc in case the issue is your phone's end.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve tried that and no luck. The car seems to go from ‘in use’ to ‘standby’. I’ve tried on a few devices and new deleted and re-installed, as well,as putting on devices not used before.

A little update on this and to show my ignorance, (I’d been a bit daft!).

I took my car for a service and on collecting the car, I got the message “Volvo on Call service required”. As the software had been updated, I assumed, (wrongly), that they hadn’t reset the service required message and that the format of the message had changed, due to the software upgrade.

After googling, I now realise that this means there is something wrong with the Volvo on Call. I’ve booked it in for next Monday, so hopefully it will be fixed easily, but I just wonder if they did something when servicing which caused this.

Hi

Was there a resolution to this? My xc90 app is stuck thinking the car is in use. It also won’t connect over the data sim in the car. Took sim out and works fine in a phone. The sim had worked perfectly until 4th August.

It’s as if there is a “blockage” in the system somewhere. Apps like Spotify work perfectly well over hotspot but not sim in boot.

You’d think Volvo app would also update once car was on a hotspot connection but appears not.

If I remove the data sim, I thought that the app would use be Volvo on board sim but that doesn’t seem to work either.

My voc has been stuck on “car in use” again for last four hours. Tried rebooting, starting and stopping car, locking and unlocking with no success. This happened about a month ago and eventually cleared itself .

As with any problems with the electronic. If simple restarting etc. does not work, disconnect the battery in the boot for 30sec or so.

The Car does not power down all components when your stop the motor. Some and especially the online functions, are only going into a suspend or limited function mode. Thus if they get "hung up" just restarting the car has no effect.

Disconnecting the battery forces a real cold start of the components and in many cases solves the problem.
