Thanks - the coolant leak has been fixed, but now I have engine system service light on and the above DTC's.

I don't know if they are caused by something the Volvo garage did in changing the crank case breather pipe, e.g - perhaps they have disturbed a pipe in the air intake side, but it does look like I have an issue with the swirl flaps.

What I can't determine is how I check that further, as the version of Vida I have does not seem to allow me to run the tests.

No Erase instruction in the Delivery tab? Who did you buy Vida from?
That is exactly, how it is done (in either version). I'm still using the VM version from swedespeed, as I'm to lazy to install the "standard" version you get eg at ebay with your DICE.

VM swedespeed:
Open VIDA, go to "Vehicle profile" and let it read your car. Should bring up your car. But before you move away from the tab, make sure _all_ fields are filled or chosen correctly. Especially partner group, steering and body style normally needs to be chosen. Click ok.

Now choose the Diagnostics tab. Click on one of the modules in the graphic. If you now change to advanced, you will see directly above the start button from your Windows-VM the "erase all".

Thanks for this. What I am not sure is how I change to Advance

e.g. "If you now change to advanced, you will see directly above the start button from your Windows-VM the "erase all"."

Suspect I am missing something very obvious!

Have you tried reading the VIDA instructions? They are easily available on the internet as a pdf. They explain how to use Vida and navigate within Vida.

Yeah, that's a slight problem... If he is using the VIDA from Swedespeed, he does have the changes to the layout. This does look similar to the "normal" VIDA, but is changed in a few things, especially regarding used fonts and presentation.

I'll go down to the car later, I'll make some pics.

Did you fill in the three fields? Sometimes it will not work correctly, if you leave these fields empty...

So, here we go

In the first pic you see the "Diagnostic" tab, and there chosen "Fault Trace".

All the way down you see => ERASE ALL

Next pic, now choose "Vehicle Communication" (right top, still on "Diagnostic" tab). Click now on a Control Module (in this pic PDM, Passenger Door Module). And now you can see downwards "Parameters, Actions and Advanced".

Hope this helps.

Oh, and all others, that don't use the Swedespeed VIDA: could one of you please make a screenshoot from your version, so we could compare them? Thanks!

I would say that's the overwhelming majority.

I've a few Vida videos on my YouTube channel if anyone wants to see the difference.

I'd guess so, too. I downloaded another (normal) version of VIDA, but I'm too lazy to install that one. First I'll need to prep an old laptop (new display), than I will do that. On my daily working machine a VM is all, I'll allow...

Do you have a good version that you can recommend for download?

Not for free no.
Anyway, best to keep this thread on its original subject.

Thanks ever so much.

Now found the issue with vida - was down to screen resolution I think as I reset explorer zoom levels and now I can scroll down to see erase all and scroll to the right to see communication.

So - i tested the swirl flap movement. That seems OK but Vida did not actually come back to confirm all good or bad. Should it ? - when I click start I can see the swirl flap arm move in out several times.

I then cleared all the codes and went for a drive. Engine System Service light came on when I tried to accelerated.

This time just two codes shown ...

ECM-135F Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor - signal too low
ECM-28E0 Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) signal too low
