Radio code?

Hi all

I recently popped into my local Volvo dealer for a bit of touch up paint, and while i was there i thought i should get the radio code as ive not long had the car and have not got it recorded anywhere by the previous owner! No problem i was told as the parts person went off to retrieve this for me but when she returned, i was told they didn't have it on their system but did have my key number? Is there a way of getting the code in case the battery needs to be disconnected at any point?

There is no code on the new shape ones. If your Sig is accurate, you want the other s40 board.

Thanks for reply, it is for a 2005 V50 which i have recently purchased. My S40 in my sig needs changing but not sure how to do it? I have been into "edit my profile" but cant work out how to change it! Anyway, does that mean i don't need to worry about radio code for this car?

You can edit your profile by clicking on quick links in the bar at the top.

Yes no code required, it is coded to the ecu or cem so won't work in any other vehicle.
