And let's not forget that the R bumper is a truly sublime looking beast, typically commanding absurd prices on the second hand market.

Ransom my R has the identical bumper to yours, so if you find one you do not want ( pref in nautic blue ) at a sensible price please let me know.

Do not worry I am not holding my breath !

when you ask £3k for one of these car it needs to be correct, or atleast have its specific distinguishable parts. May aswell be a T5 with R clocks in its current form
Correct me if i am wrong but the T5 is a 2.4 turbo and the R is a 2.3 turbo, both 5 pots, 20v.

Therefore there is more to it than just bumper and clocks.

As far as I am aware the bumper is the only bit that is not original but I would welcome anyone based in Aberdeen to have a look over in exchange for some beer tokens to confirm what is and isn't original.

Yours is a 2.3 5 pot based on its age.. I wouldn't worry about originality of anything else ...Or getting anyone around for a look
It's just not going to sell in its current condition and price .. Sorry to seem harsh but that's the reality of it..
Your on an enthusiast's web site and if it was a peach of a car or priced correctly it would more than likely be sold by now.
You really would be better trying your luck on Ebay as your potential buyers there would br far less knowledgeable .
I would also tread very very carefully with trying to source a genuine bumper and spending money on this to try and effecr a sale..You might find you lose even more money on the deal.
If your serious about want shot of price it up correctly,as I and others have mentioned and it will sell.

Youre wrong.... both T5 and R up to 1999 were both 2.3 until the 2.4 R one off lump came out.

Then all T5 up to 2004 facelift were 2.3, then went to 2.4

The R on the P2 platform was always a 2.5

What’s the strongest engine then if you wanted to replace the bottom end and head on an 850R
with something better?
Isn’t it v/s60 R, I’m not sure.
