Default s80 turbo problem

hi all, Volvo s80 turbo dropping into limp mode at around 3000 revs
any answers please
What I have done so far\ all vac hoses replaced \vac test shows good results \
turbo boost valves(2) cleaned and tested \ecg valve tested ok!
this happens in low gear pulling off from a stop makes moving of at t junction slightly hazerdas \overtaking very slow mooving trafick etc
if i build up speed slowly and dont rush it up the gears all seams ok,push past 3000 revs a bit to quick (engine needs service )light is on and dreaded limp mode
Has any one got any ideas please

hi thanks for asking
The code shows P0244,turbocharger/supercharger/ wastegate solenoid a range/performance . hope that makes sense/ I am a bit confused as I don't think my engine (D5)has a waste gate?

Just about all, (if not all), turbos have a waste-gate of some kind, otherwise you can blow everything apart (or at least stall the compressor) if you come on boost and then lift off the throttle. Most are internal to the turbo with internal by-pass, but you also get the 'boy-racer' type external waste-gate, that makes a whooshing noise, that you are probably thinking about.
