Just looking for something to minimize fingertip marks/streaks.. maybe the matte film one?.. The screen is coated with some bluish shiny stuff - it looks horrible most of the time.. kind of pointless wiping it as it gets messy as soon as you use it again..

Yes, I have the second one down, the matte protector. I've had it for over ten months and it is brilliant. Eliminates finger prints, leaving only the occasional wipe down for dust.
The only very slight downside is that the colours are desaturated a bit, but still bright enough considering that reflections are also very nearly completely eliminated.

I highly recommend this matte protector and I don't often specifically recommend much of anything.

Above all, I want to avoid scratches on the screen itself.
Yeah, same with me.. if I don’t count the cellophane that came as factory protection (removed on delivery..)

Thanks all- you convinced me.. I’ll order a matte one to give it a try.

I took a close look at it, mine is not matte. I think I took it because in the detail of the offer it says
"premium" and the add (by the same munufacturer) says "new";

I didn't find that in the first of the offers in the link. Perhaps there is no difference at all, apart from
it no being matte, although I seem to remember that the colors were about as crisp with as without it.

If the matte one is anything like the matte surface on the driver’s screen - I might be happy with it.. if not- heck, I’ll reorder a shiny one..

I've just fitted one of the pack of 2 @ £6.99. Has a matte finish, had it in place about a week and to be honest I don't even notice the matte finish now, finger prints now seem a thing of the past. Well worth it and I've still got a spare.

Yes, it's great for avoiding fingerprints. And I imagine the matte is the best in that respect!

I ordered a Brotect matte screen protector for XC60 Sensus from Amazon, which was dispatched by Protectionfilms24. What I received was a screen protector about A4 in size - way bigger than the display. Probably just a one off error, and Amazon as usual were fairly good in handling the return & refund.

You could have saved it for your next car, although since screen size seems to become the next fetish
(after the number of exhaust tips - fake or real), A4 could be too small

I believe that Corning has just released Gorilla Glass VI which will be available in a matte finish. So in time we may see non-reflective, finger print free glass displays as standard. Hopefully they will invent matte piano black plastic for trim as well.
