Default 940se turbo diesel engine, overhaul or swap?

940se diesel engine overhaul or replace? At 200,000 miles it has piston slap and a slight rumble. Anyone have a replacement? Or the bits to overhaul it? Or an old engine i could overhaul at my leisure and then swap? It is a 6 cylinder 2.4 turbo audi jobby. Go on make my day. Graham in Stoke on Trent

If you do find you need a replacement when I was going to replace mine at one stage I had several offers using online breakers, some guaranteed, pm me if you can't source one and look out in the 'Volvo breaker thread' in general section on here. They do also come up on Ebay, not always in the form of engines but the entire car for breaking... Good Luck, can't help you with the techhy side of things, Craig is the man for that!
