Is the trim on the silver xc not navy blue, same as mine. I've also thought of changing it to black. I did use liquid shoe polish on my v40 trim and it's very good and long lasting.

Is ok for short term as it simply draws the oils from the plastics to the surface again making it appear clarinet/fresher, but long term doing that isn't a good call.

I'm a cheap skate so i use Linseed oil, being almost clear its easy to remove from paint if you over apply and it lasted up to 6 months when i did my 340, plus its like £1.99 for a bottle which lasted until i sold the car and still have half a bottle left.

I use mud, I find it is great for hiding tar, scrapes, grandchildren finger marks and other stuff. Got a nice graded uniform cover now from the wheels up!
