What does this do?
I ordered a crank locking tool for the D5252T engine last week.
Today it arrived and it's certainly a handy looking tool. Included with tool was this little doobry-ferkin, of which no mention is made in the paperwork or instructions: What function does it perform? Cheers

I'll be interested to know too.
My D5 holding tool came with something similar and an extra blue bit of plastic. When I did my timing belt, neither got used and no one's died so I'm none the wiser. It's suspiciously timing belt width but......

Yup! It fits into slat wall that you see in retail shops/workshop walls.

it looks like a CAM locking tool. When the fuel pump belt is removed and the pulley also there is an off center slot in the end of the shaft that looks just like the end of that tube!!
But probably works better as a hanger lol
