Remove the switch from the valve & gently pull the shuttle back until the groove around the middle can be seen in the centre of the hole the switch screws into , using a small flat screwdriver . No fluid will leak from the valve when you remove switch , seals keep fluid seperate from the centre section of the valve .

For future reference , next time you are going to vleed brakes , remove the switch & wedge the shuttle in the centre position . It stops it moving & cutting off the circuit you are trying to bleed

I have made one using a suitable bolt drilled through & a drill bit the fits the groove to hold the shuttle in place , By doing this you can bleed brakes quickly & not risk the shuttle moving

The shuttle seems to have moved all the way to the left (as you look at it)
Can only just see the groove. Was outside in the rain, so going to have a proper look at weekend..

Im struggling a bit with this.
When I take the switch out, the shuttle has moved all the way to the left and the groove is barely visible. I have tried to slide it to the right without success as I cannot get a firm enough force on it to slide it over.
The brakes are working ok and the pedal is good now the new pads and discs have bedded in. Probably best to leave it alone until I can find someone who has good knowledge of the procedure and can help me "Hands On"

Hi Kirkie, will be easy done, with 2 persons. Look to witch side the shuttle is. Bleed the other side circuit. The shuttle will move to the other side. If you do it slowly with 2 person you stop immediately. or the shuttle is blocked by corossion, you have to look for a proper one. I block the shuttle with a screw too while bleeding. regards, Kay
