Default Cure of speed related resonant noise

After buying a low milage 2013 model, I found major resonant noise while accelerating at 70 MPH and was a bit rough at 1800 while accelerating.
Fortunately its a Volvo Selekt car so back to the dealer it went for a look see. After a good trawl of the forum, I got the cause down to three things that other members here had found. Engine and subframe mountings, rear axle bits (pump etc) and propshaft & anti vib unit. I enclosed a note to this effect when I dropped the car off.
They decided to do the easy bits first ie change front engine mount and top rubber coupling. They thought it was wheels/tyres and did a swap. They then disconnected the DEM pump in rear axle & noise went. So they changed the pump and found the noise still there! I dropped in to exchange the loan car for an AWD car and talked with the Tech. The last two on their list were the rear engine mount and the propshaft/coupling, but they didnt think it was the propshaft as it all looked in good order.
They then changed the rear engine mount! Still no joy. They finally replaced the complete propshaft which cured the problem.
So for all that work, use of two loan cars (one a brand spanking XC60 R series and a V40 R series) and a car that is now as smooth as silk, the cost to me £0.00!!
Yes, buying the car from Lancaster Volvo in Reading was more than a normal car dealer, BUT there was no warranty company to argue the toss with. The service team made no excuses (ie they all make that noise mate, its mormal), kept me fully informed and did not attempt to talk down to me when explaining what they were doing. My request for a change from the V40 to the XC60 (a couple of days shooting!) was done without a murmour.
Please excuse epistle, but I do like to praise good work & service where done.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy, Prosporus and breakdown-free New Year!

Load the parts cannon!
Fire!

They have no idea how to diagnose a problem.
