Default VIDA twist.

Ever since I bought my 2015 V70 D5 I have been kicking myself that my 2013A VIDA/DICE does not recognise ( understandably) the car. The car is coming up 3 yrs at Christmas & I'm trying to decide whether to get a warrantee (Volvo or otherwise) and stay under a Volvo service plan or service the car myself and risk the expense of future repair costs from my pocket.
To this latter end I was fiddling with my computer and discovered that by altering the 10th VIN character (the letter F) to a D, VIDA brought up details of my vehicle in a 2013 configuration. I know there will be differences between the 2013-2015 years, but for the bread and butter type of repairs/servicing I'll undertake it must be a help.
I know it won't "diagnose" problems (which is a real PIA)and I could get a 2014D setup, but that would involve a "new" computer as my 2013 version runs on a dedicated XP machine, so that I doubt will happen.

Cheers

Bob

If you pm your 17 digit chassis, I can check if 2014d recognises it.
