Theeggman,

I've been on forums since I was 16 and have a vast amount of experience and knowledge in vehicle detailing and mechanical engineering. I don't have a connection with the product mentioned but have used it on my current XC70 along with many other friends and families cars and in my opinion it's one of the better products out there. Just my two pence worth.

Thanks.

I was using a heat gun on my 850 15 years ago and it worked really well. You are also best to leave the bumper on the car as it will droop when it melts! I tried it on my V70 but it must be a different kind of plastic as it did not work. In fact it made it worse. What I did use that works well is Forever Black. Easily applied and looks brand new.

Thumbs up

A couple of products I use are C4 permanent trim restorer, from G-techniq and solution finish.
The C4 is a nano-technology product and Costs about £25 for 15ml, but that will easily do all the trim on a V70 at least once and lasts for up to 2 years.
Solution finish is more of a rub on, wipe off plastic dye.

No affiliation to either product, I just think they are astounding performers.

I went to pound land a month ago and hesitantly bought 4 liquid shoe polish for my bumper I was hesistant to go for it or not. But then the result was amazing. Car transformed a lot and I gueas ir will hold the colur for atleast another 6 months. So go for it. Cheap and good.
