Default Front strut spacer 9157705

Hi all,

For 1998 V70 T5 and others

Is this part really necessary? What does it do?

Skandix
http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts...ubber/1031280/
says "located between the spring seat and the spring bearing"

Thanks
Steve

Spaces the rubber bushing away from the metal mount so that the bolts dont rub and destroy the rubber/inhibit the rotation, I believe.

Hi CookeH,

OK thanks.

I have seen some threads about that, but not everyone seems to bother about it when they change front struts.

Then they subsequently start a thread. I've rebuilt my front suspension, but the steering does not feel right. What can be wrong?

Hi ITSv40

I have replaced struts, mounts and bearings myself before now without using that part and I don't think I have experienced a problem.

Have you tried with or without the spacer, or do you know what symptoms there are?

I want to do it right next time.

Steve
