Checking TV reception and TV receiver
Fault-tracing information

Digital TV-receiver (DVB-T) is an extra option that receives the digital TV-channels, converts them and transmits them on to rear seat entertainment module (RSE). For the TV-receiver to be able to receive transmitted channels, two antennas are connected to the receiver. The TV receiver is operated by the remote control via the rear seat entertainment module (RSE).

No TV-picture is shown or no TV-sound is heard.
No power supply or ground to TV receiver.
Damaged TV receiver fuse.
Damaged cables for audio and video signals between the rear seat entertainment module (RSE) and the TV receiver.

Damaged wake-up signal cables between the rear seat entertainment module (RSE) and TV receiver.

The rear seat entertainment module (RSE) is not programmed for a TV receiver.

TV picture appears, but quality is poor.
Weak or distorted antenna signal.
Damaged cables between the TV receiver and the antennas.
Damaged antennas.

Not possible to change channels with the remote control.
Damaged cables for remote control's IR signals between the rear seat entertainment module (RSE) and the TV receiver.

TV channels deleted.
Switch on the TV receiver is in the wrong position.

Message about software update is shown.
Switch on the TV receiver is in the wrong position.

Note! In order for TV-channels to be shown in the system for rear seat entertainment, the system for rear seat entertainment must be on and in other respects work trouble-free.

Look for the really obvious:
Any LEDs light up on the tuner? If not, it has no power
Do you have TV ptions on the DVD player? If not, then the DVD player has wrong software loaded

Does the remote have the TV controls? Check the user manual for the right remote version.
Does the RSE provide TV options in the menu? If not, The RSE is not loaded with the TV version of the software. Dealer can load correct software

Update: Success, after very helpful chap at Abergavenny main dealer obtained a CSC code 3J procedure to enter service screen of DVD, and simply manually set TV tuner to ,"connected". Did it myself and all working! All digital channels working. Now need to sort a CI card for Now TV!

Default Curious - TV Module

Hi I have the Digital Module in my Car but am unsure what i need to put in to it to make it work.
I have tried a Sky Card just to see if all i seemed to need would a digital Card but the slot is too big for just a card.
Does a CI Module Card adapter need to go in to it or am i missing a point?
