Quite frankly I have used it once, and found I had to concentrate more than not using it
I think this is your issue - it does take a while to get in the groove with it. On a light traffic motorway it is terrific - Preston to Penrith yesterday with it switched in prob 90% of the time. I find the light touch needed to stop the "apply steering" chipping in works best if it is against the bend - i.e. with the steering trying to auto turn, the lightest of hand resistance against the auto is all that is needed.

I forgot to mention the other issue I found, but I assume there is ways to adjust?

When it slows down because of traffic in front, and then that traffic moves out of the way, T8 shot off like a rocket, to get back to it's set speed, even in Electric Mode it started the engine

Does it act differently when in normal or eco mode?

Why did you bother buying a new car??

1975 Ford Granada would suit you down to the ground!!

I use pilot assist and it works very well. It's not intended for automated driving and i always feel that im driving not the car.
The lane assist gives me a lot of resistance on the steering wheel if i try to change lanes without signaling but other than that i dont feel any kind of inconvenience when driving using pilot assist.

I hardly ever use Pilot assist... ACC is so awesome, especially on speed-restricted sections of roadworks at 40/50mph

It is however easy to confuse the system if you ask for power as a couple of times i've need to accelerate out of someones way (eg slip road merging and someone is stupid) and when its plodding along at 40mph and you press throttle it farts into life with a jolty kickdown but other than that the thought of not having it now is unbearable lol

That was in just pure, or individual mode that has pure as the setting, so eco I guess.

I would hate to think what it would be like if in power mode lol

Default PA glitch

I was driving up the M40 yesterday, with Pilot Assist active, and I became aware that the car hadn’t asked me to apply steering. PA continued to work for another 90 seconds, before it asked me to interfere.

At no point whilst this was happening, did I touch the wheel, either deliberately or accidentally, so it must have been a software glitch.

It was quite nice not to have to get involved for such a long time.

Do the lasers see through thick fog?? If so ACC set to max distance would be fantastic. If not then it's a big no no in those conditions
