S80: General - Problem: Electronical ignition key jammed

Hi!

I'm rather shamed to ask but maybe someone can help... I managed to insert the remote for starting the engine with the wrong end and can't get it out now, seems to be stuck somehow. Does anyone have this kind of experience or can just advise me, how could I get it out? It moves in and out a bit, seems to be rather loose otherwise but doesn't come out totally. Nor is it totally in like it should be in normal situation.

Any suggestions appart turning to a dealer?

Probably got this sorted by now, but I'd have said dealership all the way!

There is obviously electronics in there to read the key but also the motor to hold it in/eject it etc... to simply pull it out would most likely mess it up - though i would have tried it myself!

you must have pushed the key in pretty hard!
