Aside the new engine now having a Bi-Turbo setup instead of the a single unit, there are some other updates too.

New steering wheel (with alu aka new S80).
New graphics and updated software for Sat Nav.
Double Tail pipes for the D5.
Silver roof rails on SE Lux
Humidity Sensor std on SE & SE Lux.

Price increase is £750 for the D5. New engine also for the 2.4D, now with 175 bhp (the old 163 bhp engine is gone). This new engine is 2WD. No 4WD option. D5 is still 4WD.

Production starts on 11/5. First deliveries in early June.

Options have changed as well. Some increases, the Communication Pack is now £2100 (+£100). TPM no longer available as factory order.

Here are the new/old stats of the D5:

Old New
185 / 205 bhp
400 / 420 Nm Torque
2000-2750 / 1500-3250 rpm
9.4 / 8.4s 0-60 (auto)
124 / 127 mph topspeed
25.9 / 28.0 Mpg Urban
41.5 / 46.3 Mpg Extra Urban
34 / 37.7 Mpg Combined

Pretty impressive I think.

Interesting, I have TPM I wonder why they are no longer fitting in factory. Is it now dealer fitted or no longer available at all?

Hey NewVolvo, useful information. I may get my car sooner than I expected !

Your performance figures differ from the Volvo media website which quotes 0-100 km/h times of 8.5 ( manual ) and 8.9 ( automatic ). This equates to 0-60 mph of 8.2/8.6 by my calculation. Where did you get your information from ?

From the brochure I have. I think that the Volvo official site uses 0-100 km/h as in 0-62 mph and not the usual UK way of 0-60 ..... does make a difference but not much.

Either way, how often do we drive like that?!

(comes from me who did have an MB AMG E55 for about 9 months.... quicker than most Ferrari's!)
