Default PCV hose replacement

I'm looking for instructions on how to replace a broken PCV hose on a 2004 C70 that has separated just below the the manifold. I can get a replacement part easily, but can the better than average handy person go about replacing it himself? The dealer wants about 5 hrs labor to do the job, and I think I can do it for less. Also, how unadviseable is it to drive the car with this linkage broken? Thanks in advance. -Justin

Hiya,

if it's a turbo then you probably have a slight boost leak, as when under boost the broken pipe will leak some boost. Your car is probably ME7 engine management? (no distributor cap) so won't like that but I think it would survive driving like that for a short while till you can get the parts.

Cheers, Pete
