Default service light

i understand that on a 1998/9 v70 you can reset the service light by a sequence by yourself...is that on the msa 15.7 ecu??.

iv been told that if your ecu is the msa 15.8, you have to goto volvo and the diy sequence wont work.is this right?

hi im new to the site but i think i can help with the service light reset . start by sitting in the drivers seat with the key turned off press the mileage reset button and hold it down , with the button held down turn the key to the on position (do not start the car just on) look @ your service light when it starts to flash release the mileage button , turn the key off and start the car .this should reset your service light . let us know how it went
