Yes mate - to be honest they were pretty good. hardly any blockage. I reckon had i not smashed these hoses i would have remedied it with a PTS clean. But, such is life. Just about to phone Rufe now.

Well thats it all ordered, came to £73.50ish delivered. Bit of an expense i wasnt counting on but to be honest for the full kit its a pretty reasonable price. Ill post photos of it going back together etc once it arrives, and probably a load of posts when i forget which pipe goes where

I have done this repair on my 1996 850 T5 and was disapointed because after doing all that work it is no different.I still have a vapour out from the dipstick and from the pipes.I am wondering if there is a headgasket problem

Anyone? - Surely someone must know of the 'back oil seal' ?

More commonly known as the rear main seal (RMS) which is the main oil seal between engine and clutch.
It's a gearbox/clutch off job to replace it so most people tend to change the PCV system as preventative maintenance to avoid the RMS failing in addition to the other reasons. Hope this helps.

I am in the process of replacing the cam seals because of my blocked PCV ( now fixed ) and I think I got away with the RMS. I hope.

Same deal but instead of gearbox/clutch off it's a autobox/torque converter off job.
