Unhappy New Power Window - how much ???

The passenger side front window decided to fail today so had to go to the dealer to at least get it closed for me & check it out (s40 '07).

The answer is a new motor for that window, &, as usual with Volvo it is not straightforward as apparently it "shares" software with the door mirrors etc & needs to be programmed to the car.

Bottom line ? £380 to fix a window..

Ah the days of a simple window winder !!!!

seem to me like you should just be able to switch out motors, as they shouldn't effect the software, but I could be wrong, maybe try a local volvo indy.....

I have a feeling mines going the same way as the drivers window stutters on the way up, planning to take the door card off and grease/clean all the runners/mechanisms next week on my day off fingers crossed this will sort it......
