How so, if both versions torque come in at 1500? My D5 seems to like revving all the way round to the red line. Doesn't seem to get too breathless.

I once had the XC60 D3 AWD auto (rental in Berlin) and it went like a train! Extremely good on fuel too
Not a patch on the XC60 D5 (205)'s performance I had at the time though

I don't know how it was on the UK but in Portugal until recently, i think MY2011, we had the D5 and the 2.4D. This 2.4D is now the D4 AWD. It's a bit confusing since denomination is now based simply on power and not on block or version.

What is the actual difference between D4 AWD 2,4l and the D5 2,4l? is the difference only in the motor control software? or is it a differed turbo? or something else? Hope someone got the answer |

163hp D4 over 215hp D5, D5 quicker off the mark, faster top end, higher minimum kerb weight. All figures on the volvo site tech specs comparison bit, hope this helps

Hello,
I have a D4 AWD 2013 163 bhp. I am still hoping for a polestar upgrade but I see nothing coming. Any idea or recommendation for a chip tuning? It really seems that the engines are identical... I am afraid Volvo will not approve the polestar for this engine because it would mean that you pay for a D4 and get a D5 ) |
